About Us
We are a small boutique breeder of Standard Groodles originally from Kooroora Bay - Lake Macquarie/Newcastle, NSW and recently moved to 5 acres near close by at Brunkerville. We fell in love with the Standard Groodle Breed in 2012, when we got our 1st Standard Groodle Puppy and decided they were too good a dog not to share so we decided to become a Standard Groodle Breeder in Newcastle, NSW and searched high & low for the best mate possible to ensure a even better Groodle Puppy. Our dogs are family members and live with us in our home and yard, making them well balanced family members. They are wonderful, highly intelligent, gentle, loving companions that adore playing with our 2 children and their friends between the age of 10 & 15, with constant daily noise and activity. Whether it be playing under the sprinkler in summer, running alongside the pushbike, going for walks in the park, swimming in the lake, or cuddling up at our feet in the lounge room at night our dogs just adore being part of our family and give us BIG smiles to show it.
What is a Groodle….?
The Groodle or Goldendoodle is a "Hybrid" Breed that is a Poodle crossbred commonly referred to as a Designer Breed or Designer Dog and is breed from a Purebred Poodle with a Purebred Golden Retriever, and depending on what size poodle is used you can get varying sizes of Mini, Standard & Giant.
It is NOT recognised as a Specific Pure Breed of its own but rather a crossbreed, and cannot be registered as such. It is however now grown in its popularity due to its fabulous affectionate nature, gentle temperament and its fun loving personality that is a perfect fit for family's with small children.
The Groodle Designer Breed originated in North America and in the 1990's emerged as an alternate to the Labradoodle that was already growing in its popularity. They are gentle, affectionate, friendly, highly intelligent and have a low- NON Shedding, low dander coat. Their loving nature and desire to please proves them to make fantastic faithful, family companions, who are fabulous with children and extremely easy to train.
They are highly social dogs and happily get along with everyone both animal and human which makes them great mates to have throughout their lifetime with people often commenting that they look like they are smiling.
How to Call our pups’ Paws Yours’… ?
1. we will send you our Application form so you can join our priority notice list and we will notify you when our pregnancy is confirmed & when a litter is born.
2. we encourage you to Like and Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages where you can see each litter as they grow.
3. when notified, if timing is right for you we will then do a video chat so that you can see the pups and mum for your own security before placing an Application Fee deposit to secure a pup position on that litter.
NOTE: FOR YOUR SECURITY - WE WILL NOT ASK YOU TO PAY AN APPLICATION FEE DEPOSIT TO SECURE A PUP WITHOUT DOING A VIDEO CHAT FIRST.
Groodle Puppies
Our Groodle puppies are Standard size ONLY and we have different generation crosses at different times of the year depending on which parent dogs are mated.
Depending on the generation cross different looks and coat types are possible. Groodles generally have a greater chance of NON-shedding to Low Shedding coats than their purebred heritage. We have puppies in colours of Cream, Apricot, Champagne, Reds, Dark Caramel/Chocolate Reds, Chocolate Brown, Black and now some Abstract (two toned) Red & White and Apricot & White Groodle Puppies at different times of the year depending on the parent dogs.
As Standard Groodles puppies they will grow to an estimated size of
FEMALES : 55-65cm with a weight of 20-25kg
MALES : 60-70cm with a weight of 25-30kg.
FOR Standard Double Doodle puppies (Groodle x Labradoodle) they will grow to an estimated size of
FEMALES : 60-65cm with a weight of 25-30kg
MALES : 65-70cm with a weight of 30-35kg.
